I bought 10 of these for wedding presents. I gave out 9 and kept one for us. Unfortunately after setting mine up I was initially very disappointed with the rate of photo transitions in that sometimes it wasn’t smooth and would stutter. In addition the pictures were not sharp and the colors looked like crap. After doing some research I applied the October 2009 Firmware update and now I am very pleased. This resolved both issues. Now I have to track down the 9 I gave away as gifts to update theirs…off boy what fun.

They have a firmware update that allows you to remove the baby picture from the internal memory.

Picture quality could be better, but for 40 bucks, you should know what you are getting….

The UI has an extremely simple task and comes up shockingly short.

Somehow this device ended up in Russian language. There is no way to get back to English without knowing (or guessing) the Russian word for “language”.

However putting in English mode is a mixed blessing. The caption for “Zoom and Crop” explains that “The photo will create a new photo.” Yeah, I know your guess is as good as mine. When a delete fails to work it says “Operation Failed!!”, yeah with two exclamation points. Wonderful.

I bought this for my mother as a present and unfortunately since the documentation and interface is so poor it can hardly be expected that a non-technical person would understand what is meant. You have to have the correct guesses available.

(The frame has internal memory sufficient to store 1-3 photos.)

Very satisfied with unit due to the fact that we researched it prior to purchase and knew that there was a picture size limitation. If you use pictures from your digital camera without modifying the size you will only use about 75% of the frame. We haven’t tried to modify pics so not sure about results. Picture color and clarity was good, menus’ very useable with many choices. Good value for the money.
